About Us

The National Schools Awards takes place annually to recognise and reward the frontline Educators, inspirational Leaders, Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts for their transformational work across the sector

We are delighted that the National Schools Awards will be returning once again to the House of Lords on Tuesday 3rd December 2024. The inaugural event took place at the Schools & Academies Show in Birmingham in November 2019, and on an annual basis this prestigious event has continued to highlight excellence across the education sector.

The 2024 awards ceremony will consist of 8 categories which have been selected to represent the wide spectrum of effectively running and leading a school for the benefit of staff and pupil outcomes. From Governance Professional of the Year and School of the Year, through to Estate Management and EdTech Innovation of the Year, there is wide array of options for Schools to put themselves or their colleagues forward for.

The event is brought to you by the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) and the Schools & Academies Show (SAAS) and the ceremony brings together 250 school leaders, nominees and education pioneers to celebrate and showcase the excellent work being undertaken across the UK.

The plans for the evening will follow the timings below:

  • 6:00pm – Registration and Event Open

  • 6:30pm – 7:15pm – Drinks Served

  • 7:15pm – Ceremony Starts

  • 7:15pm – 8pm – Award Ceremony

  • 8pm – Ceremony Finishes

  • 8pm – 9:30pm – Drinks and Canapes Served

  • 9:30pm – Event Closes
